Analyzes near-infrared reflectance patterns unique to living skin tissue. Screens, printouts, and masks lack the sub-dermal blood flow patterns detected by this layer.

3. Micro-Movement Analysis

Tracks involuntary micro-movements (pulse vibrations, micro-saccades, breathing) over 500ms capture window. Static images and pre-recorded videos fail this natural movement check.

4. Texture & Moiré Detection

Detects moiré patterns, pixel grids, and print dot artifacts using frequency-domain analysis. Catches photos displayed on screens or printed on paper with 99.2% accuracy.

5. 128-Point Face Geometry

Maps 128 facial landmark points and computes geometric ratios (inter-pupillary distance, nose bridge angle, jaw contour). Cross-references with stored enrollment data using cosine similarity.

6. Challenge-Response (Blink/Turn)

Randomly prompts user to blink or turn head during scan. Measures response latency and movement naturality. Pre-recorded videos cannot respond to random real-time challenges.
